STI Freight Management GmbH
Around 500 STI partitioned trailers deliver to European base ports
In time for the start of Pullmantur’s European summer season, STI Freight Management has taken over the transport logistics for the cruise line.

The Duisburg-headquartered freight manager is supplying Pullmantur's Group four cruise ships with everything needed on board from French cheese to fruit and vegetables and cutlery, guaranteeing juts intime delivery to the vessels.

From five shipment stations in Germany and eight shipment points in the Netherlands around 500 STI partitioned trailers deliver to European loading ports including Barcelona (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), and Tromsø (Norway).

Additional individual shipments are sent via sea.

‘The challenges with cruise ship supplies are the high-pressure deadlines and the complex routing plans,’ says Petra Andersen, business development manager at STI. ‘

‘We guarantee an optimised supply chain. Our teams constantly liaise with each other regarding procurement, warehousing, customs clearance and delivery of the goods,’ she added.

Thanks to new customer Pullmantur Group, STI Freight Management is expanding its services in cruise ship logistics. Currently, STI supplies around 70 vessels.

Kai Schüttke, STI Freight Management's vp emphasises, ‘Our service portfolio fits perfectly to the complex demands of the cruise lines in terms of speed, flexibility and reliability.’
