The 2,376-passenger ship arrived in Sydney on November 12, 2017 for her inaugural homeport season in Australia and New Zealand which ran until February 2018.

She has arrived in Sydney for her second 2018/19 season and on January 18, 2019 media representatives and travel partners have been invited to a lunch and tour to show off enhancements from her recent bow-to-stern refurbishment.

First Norwegian Cruise Line ship to homeport in Australia

Norwegian Jewel is the first Norwegian Cruise Line ship to homeport locally for a full cruising season and svp and md Asia Pacific Steve Odell said this highlights the company’s long-term focus on the region.

‘With bookings for her first three Australia and New Zealand seasons exceeding all expectations, we are excited that Norwegian Jewel has now been confirmed for a fourth local season,’ Odell said.

‘We are overjoyed that cruisers will have another opportunity to experience our world-class dining, award-winning entertainment, immersive itineraries and extensive on-board activities.

‘Norwegian Jewel has been a game-changer since entering the Australian market.’

Odell said bookings for the fourth season will go on sale on December 21, with ‘a raft of stunning local ports’.
