Sydney’s White Bay Cruise Terminal ferry service to start Friday

Sydney’s White Bay Cruise Terminal ferry service to start Friday
The new ferry service connecting the White Bay Cruise Terminal and Sydney’s Circular Quay and Darling Harbour will commence operating  on November 27.

In July Captain Cook Cruises announced it had built a A$57m mobile passenger terminal pontoon that could be stationed adjacent to the White Bay terminal.

Gm Anthony Haworth said the deployable mobile ferry pontoon, designed and constructed in Australia, could be used anywhere in the harbour where there is no passenger wharf.

‘The service will make transport to and from White Bay Cruise Terminal both more pleasurable and more accessible for interstate, international and local passengers,' Haworth said.

He said the service will operate between White Bay and Circular Quay in the morning and between White Bay and Darling Harbour in the afternoon on days cruise ships arrive and depart.

He said ferry transfers operate between Circular Quay and Darling Harbour for those wanting to connect to the White Bay service.

Direct ferries will leave Circular Quay approximately every 20 minutes from 8.15 a.m. until 11.20 a.m.

Direct ferries depart Darling Harbour from 11.45 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The journey will take around 15 minutes and a one-way ticket costs A$9.
