A Brussels-based Transport & Environment report claims Carnival Corp. & plc ships have ‘emitted nearly 10 times more sulphur oxide (SOx) around European coasts than the 260m European cars on the road in 2017.’ It also says Royal Caribbean Cruises emitted four times as much SOx as the European car fleet.
