Technical issue delays Pacific Jewel's departure from Sydney
Because of technical problems P&O Cruises Australia's Pacific Jewel has been delayed leaving Sydney on Tuesday.

The 1,950-passenger ship, launched in 1989 as Crown Princess, was due to leave at 4 p.m.

She is now scheduled to depart Sydney at noon Wednesday, arriving in Melbourne a day late.

Her next cruise, a three-day 'SeaBreak' ex-Melbourne, will be reduced by a day.

A company spokesman said passengers are being offered 'appropriate reimbursement to address any disappointment.'
