Carlos Torres de Navarra - responsible for strategic planning and execution related to port development/commercial agreements
In his job as vp strategic and commercial port development, Carlos Torres de Navarra is looking far into future to ensure Carnival Cruise Line has access to adequate 'homes' for more and bigger ships.

Now reporting to cfo Jim Heaney, he's responsible for strategic planning and execution with respect to port development and port-related commercial agreements for the Carnival brand and, at times, as needed, for Carnival Corp. & plc.

Torres de Navarra also continues to serve as Carnival Cruise Line’s primary liaison for port and government affairs, working with organizations including Cruise Lines International Association and Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association. Recently he was named to chair the FCCA's Operations Committee.

Additionally, Torres de Navarra continues to oversee the Long Beach Cruise Terminal operation with Wilkin Mes, director of the Long Beach Cruise Terminal and commercial port development, reporting to him.

Before, as vp commercial port operations, Torres de Navarra oversaw day-to-day port operations and reported to Terry Thornton. Now the port operations team, including Carlos Estrada (director, commercial homeport operations) and Leon Sutcliffe (director, ports of call & government relations, Caribbean and Europe), answers directly to Thornton, svp port operations, guest care and Carnival international.
