Tourism Western Australia’s fourth Cruise Exchange held in Perth and Exmouth brought together key cruise line executives, ground handlers and suppliers.

A total of 21 cruise-ready products and regional port destinations were showcased to representatives from Carnival Australia, Royal Caribbean and Cruise and Maritime Voyages. Ground handlers included the AOT Group, Bob Wood Cruise Group, Intercruises Shoreside & Port  Services and Abercrombie & Kent.

Delegates were taken on a two-night familiarisation to the cruise ship port of Exmouth on WA’s North West Cape, the gateway to Ningaloo Marine Park, renowned for its coral reefs, colourful fish and migratory whale sharks. Nearby is the Cape Range National Park, with its kangaroos, sheer cliffs and red, rocky gorges.

Tourism Western Australia’s project manager, Christine Cole, said hosting events like the Cruise Exchange reflects the State government’s commitment to growing the cruise industry.
