Blues, greys and metallic tones feature in the new-look restaurant
The World, currently sailing in the Middle East, is sporting refurbished public areas completed earlier by marine interior specialist Trimline during a 28-day drydock in Cadiz, Spain.

Following a stay in the Arabian Gulf The World will head for Indonesia and will end the year in Sydney, Australia.

Areas Trimline worked on included the Marina restaurant which has been given an innovative redesign and refurbishment with new retractable floor-to-ceiling glass windows, private dining room, bar/lounge area, chef’s presentation table, specially curated contemporary artwork and a custom wine vault to showcase 1,500 bottles. The furnishings use natural fabrics with a serene, nautical colour palette of blues, greys and metallic tones.

The Colosseo theatre entertainment and meeting space sports new comfortable, ergonomically designed seats together with plush thick pile-carpets, solid wood parquet flooring and velvet drapes. Both sound and lighting capabilities were upgraded.

On Deck 12 aft, the outdoor public area was redesigned and elevated for better views, and four new Bali beds, together with retractable awnings and privacy walls, were added.

The World Spa & Wellness Centre was refreshed with new pedicure and manicure stations, a barber shop and Pilates studio. The physiotherapy room was updated to provide enhanced therapeutic rehabilitation services to residents.

Andrew Richards, Trimline’s ceo remarked 'Everyone at Trimline is extremely proud to have delivered such a striking refurbishment to The World. Our skilled teams came into their own on this technically challenging transformation.'
