Local children have been preparing welcome packs for MSC Meraviglia guests
Port of Trondheim is preparing to welcome MSC Meraviglia for the first time on Thursday which coincides with Norway’s National Day. It will be the biggest cruise ship to visit the central Norway port.

Two of the city’s museums will open for the first time on a National Day, due to the cruise visitors while kids at local kindergartens have been drawing flags to give disembarking guests along with free chocolates and maps of the city.

The port has started improvements works geared to the arrival of larger vessels which include building a new 200t bollard at 240mtr west of the cruise quay as well as enlarging the parking facilities within the ISPS area to create room for accommodating up to 20 buses (from 15).

It is also studying plans for lengthening the cruise berth.

MSC Meraviglia will call twice more this year.
