The news also follows the opening of sales for the 2020 world cruise when Silver Whisper will travel to all seven continents, including Antarctica.
The ship’s upcoming enhancements entail interior design and features found on the new Silver Muse, and on Silver Spirit, currently undergoing a significant renovation that included its lengthening at Fincantieri's Palermo shipyard.
The main focus of Silver Whisper's work will be in the public spaces.
New carpets will be laid in the corridors, main restaurant, casino, card/conference room, main bar and in the theater. The main restaurant will undergo a full upgrade, while La Dame, the Relais & Châteaux restaurant, will get new curtains and a polished floor. The casino and card/conference room will be refreshed with new curtains and new chairs.
Zagara Spa—recently introduced to Silver Whisper, following its success aboard Silver Muse—will become more luxurious with new furniture and equipment. New equipment will update the gym, too.
Accommodations will also be improved in line with the design of Silver Muse. Nine Terrace suites on Deck 5 will be transformed into Veranda suites and add 40-inch flat-screen televisions with interactive media systems. All bathrooms will be revitalized with polished granite surfaces.
Outside, storage space for Zodiacs and a crane will be installed in preparation for the 2020 world cruise.
Even Silver Whisper’s background music is undergoing a transformation. Radiopark, a specialist supplier of mood music, will be providing modern renditions of timeless melodies.
