Seabourn declined to elaborate on the matter but said it has adjusted its Ventures by Seabourn Zodiac-only excursions in Alaska, which have been replaced by the catamarans supplied from ashore.
Most of the Ventures by Seabourn kayaking and hiking excursions in Alaska are not affected and all of the company's other excursions are operating as scheduled, including the Zodiac tours in British Columbia.
Seabourn is communicating the change to travel sellers and passengers booked on the affected sailings.
Ventures by Seabourn are small group tours led by scientists, scholars and naturalists.
This is Seabourn's first Alaska season in 15 years.
