Viking Star is back in service after repairs
Viking Star sailed from Copenhagen on Tuesday evening in a revised schedule following repairs to an issue with electric transformers in part of the propulsion system that cut short the previous cruise.

That sailing had ended early in Tallinn, Estonia.

Passengers who were booked for the Aug. 8 cruise from Bergen, Norway, were hosted by Viking Ocean Cruises in hotels for two nights and provided guided excursions. On Monday they were transported by charter flight to Copenhagen to embark Viking Star.

The ship departed from Copenhagen Tuesday evening for the Kiel Canal. Though this sailing was modified to accommodate the repairs last week, Viking Star is expected to catch up to its original itinerary by Aug. 15.
