Virgin Voyages to cut steel on Facebook Live

With the steel-cutting for Virgin Voyages' first ship scheduled for Wednesday at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yard, everyone can watch since the company will air the event on Facebook Live.

President and ceo Tom McAlpin will be presiding and is expected to share an update on how Virgin plans to 'make waves.'

The live broadcast is set for 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday on Virgin Voyages' Facebook page.

Seatrade Cruise News will also be reporting from the shipyard.
