Voyages to Antiquity reports a 38% year-on-year increase in forward bookings for 2019 UK ocean cruise sales, as well as a 82% hike in US sales.

The cultural cruise line operating Aegean Odyssey in Europe, Africa and Asian waters celebrated its best ever trading figures with a High Tea for 17 members of its UK office on a private cruise down the River Thames in Oxford.

The success follow record passenger numbers for its current 2018 cruise programme.

In addition to the UK figures, the same season is ahead 82% in the US, where VoA has a newly installed sales team and restructured Fort Lauderdale office.

Jos Dewing, managing director, commented: ‘I was unsure if we would be able to match the incredible results in the UK for our 2018 programme but to have smashed them year-on-year for 2019 forward sales is fantastic.’

He continued, ‘whilst we are a small, niche and single ship operator, we seem to have carved out a totally unique place for ourselves in a busy and vibrant industry.

‘Our recently promoted head of commercial (Global) Michelle Daniels is also leading an exciting charge in the US,’ Dewing said.

Denise Wilson, formerly of Discover the World Marketing, joined Voyages to Antiquity earlier this year as North America head of sales & development in advance of expanding its US presence.
