The Kimberley region is one of the world's last true wilderness areas, Sandy Nerlich said
Sandy Nerlich, regional director North America for Tourism Western Australia, has released a brochure on Kimberley expedition cruising for the US market in US dollars.

The brochure, which is currently being distributed, has been produced in partnership with US-based wholesalers Qantas Vacations, Down Under Answers and Southern World.

It features nine cruise operators with availability for 2018 and 2019 departuresAPT Kimberley Cruises, Coral Expeditions, Kimberley Pearl Charters, Kimberley Quest, Ocean Dream Charters, Ponant, Silversea Expeditions, The Great Escape Charter Company and True North Adventure Cruises.

It points out that several vessels are topped with helicopters that take passengers to cliff top waterfall pools and that all have tender vessels to explore the remotest areas.

‘Some lines are catered to the intrepid adventurer and others to travelers seeking the utmost in luxury,’ according to the brochure.

‘Some offer butler service and all cruises have a high crew-to-guest ratio, providing the upmost in personalized service.

’Everything is covered, from the best time to visit (in the dry season between April and October), to shore excursions to ancient Aboriginal rock paintings and sunset camel rides on Cable Beach. There are pre- and-post cruise travel tips, including a range of accommodation and tours to the expansive El Questro National Park and the Bungle Bungle Range located within World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park.

‘The Kimberley Expedition Cruising collective introduces expedition cruise travel in the extraordinary Kimberley region, one of the world’s last true wilderness areas,’ Nerlich said.
