Credit Suisse background
Thomas-Graham, 54, is founder and CEO of Dandelion Chandelier, a private digital media enterprise focused on global luxury. Before establishing Dandelion Chandelier in August 2016, she served as chair, new markets, of Credit Suisse Group from October 2015 to June 2016, and as chief marketing and talent officer, head of private banking & wealth management, new markets, and a member of the executive board of Credit Suisse from January 2010 to October 2015.
McKinsey's first African-American female partner
Prior to that, Thomas-Graham held a variety of leadership positions at Angelo, Gordon & Co., Liz Claiborne, CNBC, NBCUniversal and CNBC.com. She began her career in 1989 at the global consulting firm McKinsey & Co., and became its first African-American female partner in 1995.
She has served on the board of directors of The Clorox Co. since September 2005 and as its lead independent director since August 2016. Other board roles are for The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Ltd. since December 2017 Peloton Interactive since April 2018.
With Thomas-Graham's appointment, the NCLH board now has seven independent directors. She will serve on the audit committee.
Thomas-Graham becomes the cruise company's first African-American director and its second woman director, following Stella David, appointed in late 2016.
