What will be the world's largest cruise ship, Harmony of the Seas, was floated out of its building dock at STX France in a two-day operation at the Saint-Nazaire facility.

Royal Caribbean International's third Oasis-class ship emerged from the dock Friday morning and was steered along the Loire by eight tugboats with the expertise of four pilots.

STX France said weather conditions were perfect for the maneuver, which went strictly on schedule.

The 227,700gt ship is scheduled for delivery in spring 2016.

Harmony of the Seas is slightly larger than its Finnish-built sisters, Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas.

In addition to Oasis-class features including seven neighborhoods, Harmony of the Seas will offer new amenities including three multi-story water slides; the Bionic Bar with robot bartenders, introduced aboard Quantum of the Seas; and Voom, a super-fast Internet connection that gives passengers the ability to instantly share their vacation through their social media channels.
