Norwegian Bliss will complete its inaugural Alaska season from Seattle on Sept. 29 then sail from Los Angeles to the Mexican Riviera before repositioning to PortMiami.

Nearly 77,000 passengers carried

Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ship was christened in Seattle on May 30 before commencing weekly Alaska cruises. Nearly 77,000 passengers sailed on 17 voyages calling at Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau and Victoria, BC.

'Thanks to partners like Norwegian Cruise Line, Seattle is proud to be a sustainable leader in cruising while creating more economic opportunities for businesses in our region,' Port of Seattle Commission president Courtney Gregoire said. 'We appreciate the efforts of Norwegian Bliss to conserve water, reduce waste and make cruising healthy for our environment and communities.'

Alaska encore

Norwegian Bliss returns to Seattle on May 5, 2019, for a second Alaska season. At that time, the ship will be joined by Norwegian Joy sailing from Seattle and Norwegian Jewel cruising from Vancouver, BC, and Seward, Alaska.

The success of Norwegian Bliss 'surpassed anything we could have imagined, and as a result, we are very enthusiastic about our decision to introduce her sister ship, Norwegian Joy, to the US market in April 2019,' Norwegian president and CEO Andy Stuart said.

Mexican Riviera in October

As the largest and one of the newest ships to cruise from the Port of Los Angeles, Norwegian Bliss will offer seven-day cruises to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas, from Oct. 5–27.
