Blue World Voyages, whose motto is 'Active Lifestyle Cruising,' has formed a partnership with 'Yoga Journal,' a leading authority on yoga and the yoga lifestyle for four decades. In addition the line will ally with the International SeaKeepers Society.

Ultimate cruise ship for yoga

'We plan to become the ultimate cruise ship for yoga and meditation,' said Gene Meehan, Blue World founder and chairman. 'With "Yoga Journal" on board as a partner, guests can expect a thoughtful approach to classes and practice with a deep understanding of yoga traditions.'

'"Yoga Journal" is excited to partner with Blue World Voyages—a sustainable, healthy lifestyle adventure company—to bring world-class yoga and meditation classes, mind-body wellness and serenity to thousands as they venture out on journeys of self-discovery,' said Tasha Eichenseher, 'Yoga Journal' brand director of content and audience.

Twice yearly yoga/meditation only sailings

Travelers will be able to experience yoga and meditation programs on every voyage, both aboard and ashore, with sunrise and sunset yoga sessions in some of the world’s most intriguing destinations. Twice a year, Blue World and 'Yoga Journal' will team up to offer 'Yoga and Meditation Only' sailings sponsored by the magazine and led by top yoga teachers.

Blue World Voyages plans to launch in 2019 with a 350-passenger vessel focused on active, health-minded individuals and those looking to move in that direction. It will have a full deck devoted to sports and another to the spa and relaxation.

Sustainable seafood, no disposable plastics

In addition, as a member of the International SeaKeepers Society, Blue World will support marine science, conservation and research around the world.

'Our ship will serve only sustainable seafood, with no diposable plastics on board, plus many other green initiatives,' Meehan said.
