Major makeover for Princess Cruises’ resident ship in Australia

Major makeover for Princess Cruises’ resident ship in Australia
The 77,000gt Sea Princess enters the Sembcorp Marine Admiralty Yard in Singapore tomorrow for a multi-million dollar makeover which will include the creation of a new Legends sports bar and an Amuleto Cafe.

Legends, a first for Princess Cruises’ Australian-based fleet, will serve 14 varieties of beer and will have multiple LED screens, a pool table and table foosball.

The refurbishment, which will continue until October17, will also include a new intimate whisky bar called The Nook which will offer more than 60 whiskies from around the world and replaces the existing Premier Cru bar. This follows the success of the whisky bar launched on board Dawn Princess earlier this year.

The Horizon Court dining area will be enhanced, a New Zealand Natural Ice Cream outlet will be added and the Wheelhouse Bar and Pizzeria will get a new look.

‘Sea Princess is already much-loved in Australia and we think the new venues and features on board will make her even more popular,’ vp Australia and New Zealand, Stuart Allison, said.
