Makeover for Independence of the Seas ahead of summer 2018 ex-UK season

Panoramic Ocean View staterooms being added to Independence of the Seas
Royal Caribbean International announced new features to be added to Independence of the Seas during a planned multi-million pound makeover scheduled next spring ahead of summer 2018 sailings from UK seasonal homeport of Southampton.

Independence will add a larger interactive aqua park, Splashaway Bay, featuring wild waterslides, water cannons, fountains, pools and drench bucket.

Extending the speciality dining onboard, Asian-inspired dining experience Izumi will be introduced as well as new lounges and Panoramic Ocean View staterooms added.

Also confirmed as part of the makeover plans, Independence will have an improved Ice Rink, as well as a revamped theatre, an Escape Room, Trampoline Zone, and a laser tag arena.
