Oceania improves on trendsetting Tranquility Beds
Oceania Cruises took a page from the world’s top hotels when the line outfitted its staterooms and suites with ‘Tranquility Beds’ seven years ago.

Oceania said it’s upping the ante with new ‘Prestige Tranquility Beds’ composed of 400 encapsulated springs in seven zones covered by two inches of memory foam. A two-inch thick, pillow-top cushion filled with gel and wrapped in chamomile-infused fiber tops the bed.

The new beds will be dressed with 1,000-thread-count Egyptian cotton linens and a down comforter.

Passengers in higher-category accommodations get a choice of four Prestige Tranquility Pillows, wrapped in chamomile-infused fiber and stuffed with goose down, memory foam and gel, memory foam or hypo-allergenic fiber fill.

Prestige Tranquility Beds will make their debut on the Nautica in the autumn, followed by Regatta, Insignia and the new Marina in 2011.
