Pacific Pearl enters drydock for major refurbishment

Pacific Pearl enters drydock for major refurbishment
P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Pearl entered dry dock at the Royal Australian Navy’s base at Garden Island in Sydney today for a multimillion-dollar refurbishment.

The 63,875gt ship will emerge on August 15 to make a four-night SeaBreaks round cruise to Moreton Island with refreshed cabins and public spaces.

She will be fitted out with the P&OEdge Adventure Park, launched on board Pacific Jewel in September 2013 and described at the time as ‘the largest floating adventure playground in the world.’ Passengers can walk the plank, try a surfboard simulator, zip across the deck on a flying fox and use a bungee tramp.

The 1,800-passenger ship will also have a duty-free Pandora outlet, following the launch of the first floating Pandora store in Pacific Jewel in June.
