Suites with new furnishings and upholstery in a refined color palette
Exactly one year from today, on Nov. 16, 2017, Silver Cloud will embark on its first voyage as an expedition ship, to Antarctica.

Newly released renderings of the plans for its conversion show elegantly decorated ocean-view suites with new furnishings and upholstery in a refined color palette.

Silversea claims Silver Cloud will offer the largest suites in expedition cruising, and more than 80% of them have verandas. Some 26 suites will be able to accommodate three people. All suites will have butler service.

Ice-strengthened to operate in polar regions, Silver Cloud will carry 18 new Zodiacs, enabling ship-wide simultaneous explorations in groups of no more than 14 people. The ship will have a passenger capacity of 260 in non-polar regions and 200 in polar regions. During polar operations, the crew to passenger ratio will be a very high 1:1.

A newly released Silver Cloud 2018 digital brochure highlights the expedition itineraries. In travels of more than 70,500 nautical miles, the ship will visit 189 destinations and more than 380 ports, more than 30 of them for the first time.

Silver Cloud will embark on 11 Antarctic and eight Arctic voyages, sail under London’s Tower Bridge, explore the British Isles and Norwegian Fjords, transit the Panama Canal, seek culinary discoveries in Europe and South America and spend Christmas in the Falkland Islands.

The ship will carry an expedition team of up to 19 dedicated experts. Daily presentations and lectures in the theater will be streamed live to all suites.
