Trimline secures renovation of new Windstar duo

Trimline secures renovation of new Windstar duo
Windstar Cruises has appointed Trimline to refurbish its newly acquired 106-suite ships Star Breeze and Star Legend.

Windstar takes possession of the first Seabourn ship on April 15, when it will begin an $8.5m, three-week renovation in Genoa. Star Breeze will debut during a christening ceremony on May 6 in Nice. The second ship goes to Windstar on May 4 for its own $8.5m renovation and will be christened Star Legend on May 25 in Civitavecchia.

Trimline will play a crucial part in the stern-to-stern transformation of the two ships.

Commencing in April, Trimline will refresh the Show Lounges with new carpets, furniture, lighting and decoration, provide additional waiter stations, furnishings and flooring for the AmphorA Restaurants, and deliver new outdoor dining areas in the Veranda Restaurants.

The firm will also create the Compass Rose nightclubs from scratch, providing an intimate space for socialising and enjoying live music, as well as the Star Screening rooms – luxury eight-seat cinemas situated in the former card rooms.

The project follows on from Trimline’s refurbishment of Star Pride last year.

Tim Gallagher, Trimline’s contracts manager, said: ‘We are thrilled to continue our highly successful partnership with Windstar Cruises. This is a strong endorsement of our refurbishment of Star Pride.’
