Seatrade Cruise Partner with MedCruise, Port of Malaga, Malaga City Council, Costa Del Sol and Andalucia to host Seatrade Cruise Med 2022

Taking place at the Trade Fairs Congress Center Malaga on 14-15th September 2022 Seatrade Cruise Med will reunite the international cruise community in the Mediterranean after a four-year hiatus.

Seatrade Cruise Med 2022 will be held right in the heart of the second largest cruise destination in the world. In partnership with MedCruise, and hosted by the Port of Málaga, Málaga City Council, Costa del Sol and Andalucía, the event will welcome 3,000+ high-level professionals from every sector of cruising to network, source new solutions, discover new opportunities within emerging destinations and delve deep into the biggest trends affecting the Mediterranean and its adjoining seas.  

As the second largest cruise destination in the world the Mediterannean and its adjoining seas is the prime location for the international cruise community cruise professionals to meet and forge meaningful partnerships. According to the MedCruise 2021 Statistics report: “The cruising restart through the Med is well and truly underway with record cruising activity. During the 2021 season, cruise passenger movements at MedCruise ports reached 5.89 million, up 190% of those taken place in 2020, and this trend is set to continue and intensify in the years to come.” 

Seatrade Cruise Group Porfolio Director, Mary Bond says: “we’re delighted to be holding Seatrade Cruise Med in Málaga this September. After what has been lengthy period of pivoting and readapting, we’re excited to bring the cruise community from the Mediterranean and its adjoining Seas back together!”.

Seatrade Cruise Med is expected to unite more than 175+ cruise line representatives and 150+ exhibitors from 70+ countries. Anchored by the overarching theme – “Steering Change Together”

Mr Carlos Rubio, President Port Authority of Málaga says: “It is a great honour for Málaga to host Seatrade Cruise Med in September 2022, in a moment of renaissance of the industry, where we can all again be together. This is an exceptional opportunity for Málaga and our surrounding areas and ports to showcase our features and possibilities, and this will help get back to former cruise traffic figures and beyond. The City and the Province of Málaga, Andalucía and the Port are working to organise a successful event up to the expectations..”

Running alongside Seatrade Cruise Med Port of Málaga, Málaga City Council, Costa del Sol and Andalucía are also inviting the general public and visitors to the show to take part in a ‘Malaga Cruise Days’ agenda of activities. Where the Palm Grove area simulates the deck of a cruise ship hosting concerts, and other activities typical of life on board.
