Le Havre marks Day of the Seafarer

25 June of each year is designated the Day of the Seafarer by the international Maritime Organization, recognizing the invaluable contribution seafarers make to international trade and the world economy.

Yesterday in the French port of Le Havre, to mark this occasion, the Tourist Office and the Seamen's Club of Le Havre offered special gifts to crew of AIDAstella during the vessel's call and will be repeating the exercise in 2015, due to the positive response, noted Valerie Conan, cruise director, Le Havre Tourism.
