USCG reopens comments on seafarers' facility access rule

The US Coast Guard reopened, to July 1, the comment period for its proposed regulation, 'Seafarers' Access to Maritime Facilities.'

USCG expressed particular interest in comments on its estimate there is a 10.3% noncompliance rate of facilities with respect to providing seafarers' access.

The comment period for the proposed rule, published Dec. 29 in the Federal Register, originally closed Feb. 27.
