Departing London Tilbury on December 10, the five-night ‘Cricketing Legends’ themed German Christmas Markets cruise will bring passengers up close and personal with former Essex and England captain, Graham Gooch OBE, and former Derbyshire, Essex and England all-rounder Geoff Miller OBE, followed-on by Test Match Special alumni and famed raconteurs Jonathan Agnew MBE and Henry Blofeld OBE. Broadcaster Garry Richardson will act as Master of Ceremonies throughout the sailing.
Meet and greet
There will be an opportunity for passengers to meet the five over pre-dinner drinks during the cruise and some passengers will be able to dine with the cricketing legends.
A number of interactive events will be held during the sailing, with the cricketing personalities set to share their personal experiences and views on the game, as well as hold quizzes, Q&As, book signings and a live auction.
In addition, Garry Richardson – who has presented BBC Radio 4’s Today programme for more than 41 years - will host an event where he will share anecdotes from a lifetime in journalism including interviewing sports stars such as David Beckham, Serena Williams and Alex Ferguson, as well as political heavyweights Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandela.
The voyage on board Ambience will involve calls at Hamburg, Germany and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Economy rate prices start from £519 per person, based on two people sharing a Superior Twin Inside Cabin.
