AIDA Cruises introduced a new virtual reality (VR) attraction to AIDAcosma, YULLBE GO, consisting of four immersive game worlds taken from YULLBE World at Europa-Park, Germany.

It is the first time a mobile version of the YULLBE concept has been brought to a cruise ship.

Equipped with 5K VR goggles and hand trackers, participants move freely in the space taking on different challenges in a virtual world. To allow the feeling of free roaming and exploration, special cameras are integrated into the goggles to track the exact position of each passenger in the room to the centimeter.

Remarked Frank Bönsch, AIDA Cruises' VP guest experience whose role includes responsibility for developing digital experiences, 'With YULLBE GO, we are now offering a VR adventure for the whole family in a new dimension for the first time on AIDAcosma.’

Games available

The four experiences are part of the first stage in YULLBE GO’s development. They are: ‘EUROPA-PARK: Ed and Edda's Magical Journey: An adventure through the enchanted Europa-Park,’ ‘Alpha Mods P.D.: An action-packed, futuristic car chase,’ ‘Moon to Mars: A physics-based game with gravity’ and ‘Miniatur Wunderland - Walking in Wunderland.’ The latter consists of a walk through the world-famous model exhibition by the same name on a scale of 1:87.

Suitable for families

Developed by MackNeXT, part of the MACK group of companies that owns Europa-Park, the experience is suitable for those aged 12 years and over, or from eight years old with a parent or guardian.
