More family entertainment revealed on the new Disney Wish

New family-friendly entertainment on Disney Wish, debuting in July, includes a 'Frozen'-themed picnic, interactive shows and a futuristic sports arena.

A new take on Disney Cruise Line's sweets shop is inspired by the Pixar film 'Inside Out. Inside Out: Joyful Sweets will have sculpted figures of the film's five main characters and glowing Memory Orb light fixtures. Nearly 40 flavors of gelato and ice cream will be featured, along with signature treats inspired by the film. Cupcakes, macarons and cake pops will join the assortment of handcrafted truffles, designer cookies, brownies and candy.

Olaf’s Royal Picnic

Passengers can join their favorite 'Frozen' friends for a summertime picnic in Arendelle during a premium entertainment experience specially designed for families with children ages 3 to 12. At Olaf’s Royal Picnic, participants will interact with Olaf, Anna, Elsa and Kristoff and see live musical performances of songs like 'Let It Go' and 'In Summer.'

Under the direction of Baroness Dagmar Birgir, a lady-in-waiting to Queen Anna, castle staff will serve summer treats and picnic fare for the whole family and children will receive gifts and keepsakes. Olaf's Royal Picnic is bookable pre-cruise for an additional fee.

Interactive shows

The fairytale castle-inspired Grand Hall will evolve from a gathering space into a theater through built-in special effects and the first atrium stage on a Disney ship. Families will be royally greeted in the Grand Hall as they embark, and every child will receive their own wishing wand.

During the cruise, Disney princesses will descend into the Grand Hall to meet travelers. The stage will conceal Disney friends in a 'Who’s Behind the Curtain?' game show where passengers answer quesons to reveal the identy of hidden characters. On the final night of every sailing, cruisers will return to the Grand Hall and raise their wands with Fairy Godmother to ignite a spectacular farewell show.

Luna

The new entertainment hub Luna — outfitted with a two-story LED screen wall, stage and bar — will offer a variety of live shows. They include 'Villains Game Night' with favorite villains like Cruella de Vil and Maleficent projected on the screen. 'Disney Songbook' will put passengers in the spotlight as they belt out songs for a live camera crew, who will project each performance onto the screen.

During the live grand finale event for 'Disney Uncharted Adventure,' a new interactive experience that uses passengers' mobile devices to unlock hidden adventures aboard the ship, families will team up with other cruisers to battle a Disney villain.

Hero Zone

The new Hero Zone is a futuristic sports arena where physical activity will blend with imagination, offering highly produced show experiences in addition to free-play sports. Families will test their strength, speed and stamina during a high-energy game show featuring an elaborate obstacle course with challenges inspired by Pixar’s 'The Incredibles.'

Jack-Jack’s Incredible Diaper Dash will offer tots the chance to compete for the coveted title of Diaper Dash Champion as they speed-crawl across a 20-foot track.

Disney Wish will sail its maiden voyage on July 14, followed by a season of three- and four-night cruises to Nassau and Castaway Cay, from Port Canaveral.
