MSC Euribia will host seven large-scale live productions during a week’s voyage, a 19-piece big band every night and offer a range of games and activities to suit all ages.

‘We are so excited to announce our fun-filled entertainment offerings on our much-anticipated new flagship, MSC Euribia,’ commented Steve Leatham, global head of entertainment, MSC Cruises.

‘Entertainment is a fundamental part of MSC Cruises’ guest experience and we’re always looking for new, engaging ways to delight our guests of all ages. We strive to create exceptional and immersive concepts combined with varied entertainment programmes to ensure that our guests will remember their cruise as the ultimate holiday experience.’

The 181,541gt, LNG-powered vessel will begin sailing from June in Northern Europe, its official naming ceremony taking place June 8 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Large-scale shows in the Delphi Theatre

MSC Euribia’s Delphi Theatre will provide a seven-day programme of grand-scale stage shows with no two evenings alike, and feature guest entertainers to complement the resident theatre cast.

‘Circus 1920’ will offer a nostalgic look at the magical world of the circus and feature death-defying specialty performers, while ‘Variety’ will present guest entertainers, musicians, acrobats and a resident cast, as they showcase their skills in a production that will adapt and change according to each destination that the ship visits, audience and the time of year.

‘Generation Rock’ will include songs from music icons such as David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Kiss, AC/DC and Journey, ‘Jukebox L!ve’ will be set in a fictional Las Vegas showroom with vocalists showcasing funk, soul and rock n’ roll, and ‘Song Book – Ed Sheeran’ will be a celebration of the singer, who started his career as a street busker and went on to sell out Wembley Stadium in London. The show will follow the ship’s own team of dancing, acrobatic and singing buskers performing to a playlist of Sheeran hits.

MSC’s most technical show to date will be ‘Illuminicity,’ set inside a video game.

Guest entertainers in the form of top-level talent from around the world will also perform one-off performances aboard the vessel.

Big Band at Sea

The Carousel Lounge will host MSC Cruises’ newest entertainment concept: Big Band at Sea. The in-house group of internationally acclaimed musicians and singers will give three live performances nightly. Each show will be themed on different genres of music such as swing, jazz, rock, disco and musicals. Visiting guest acts will also join the big band to perform one-off concerts.

Redesigned venue

The Carousel Lounge, a venue unique to the Meraviglia class of ships, has been redesigned for MSC Euribia with a brand-new layout. The aft lounge will now extend outdoors to provide more panoramic sea views for passengers.  The multi-functional space features 1,020m sq m of indoor and outdoor areas with two covered terraces where gourmet snacks and drinks are available from morning to night.

Passengers can take part during the day in a range of leisure activities, including table games and ballroom dancing; evening parties will comprise different styles of live music each evening and weekly guest entertainers.
