The Jan. 31 and Feb. 3 cruises to nowhere — coinciding with the Chinese New Year holidays — were canceled. This followed cases amounting to less than 0.6% of the onboard population during routine testing on the Jan. 27 sailing.

Royal Caribbean said these fully vaccinated individuals were immediately isolated, with close contacts quarantined and tested. Everyone is asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic. As per the line's safety protocols, the ship will also go through a deep cleaning and disinfection.

Passengers booked on the two canceled cruises are receiving assistance and compensation options. Those booked for Jan. 31 will receive a full refund plus a 100% future cruise credit, while those on the Feb. 3 departure will receive a full refund or a 125% FCC.
