Alaska addresses comments on 2014 wastewater discharge general permit

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commercial Passenger Vessel Environmental Compliance Program has responded to comments on the draft 2014 Large Commercial Passenger Vessel Wastewater Discharge General Permit.

Interested parties including Cruise Lines International Association commented on various aspects of the permit during the 45-day public comment period that began April 8.

Changes were made to the draft general permit based on comments received and the general permit was issued Aug. 29.
