Close contacts of people testing positive, identified within 36 hours before disembarking, may quarantine in their own cabin if they will be the only person in the cabin.
Interactive experiences such as galley tours and cooking classes may resume.
Shore excursions
The requirement for physical distancing during shore excursions and transportation changed to a recommendation for 'highly vaccinated' and 'vaccination standard of excellence' ships.
Rule governing port agreements were modified to remove ship and capacity limits at ports.
CLIA welcomes the changes
Cruise Lines International Association called these changes 'welcome,' adding: 'The updates announced today acknowledge the effectiveness of the cruise lines in their ability to create an environment that provides one of the highest levels of COVID-19 mitigation and reflect the improvements in the public health landscape.'
