IAATO seeks an environmental manager

The International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators is seeking a full-time environmental manager who has Antarctica experience, either tourism- or science-related, along with environmental management experience.

Responsibilities include working with the executive director, members and secretariat to support safe and environmentally responsible field operations in line with IAATO's mission statement and strategic plan.

Among other duties, the manager will represent IAATO at national and international meetings and develop environmental and operational guidelines and coordinate the review of existing guidelines.

The position can be based in a home office in any location within five hours of UTC, though preferably in the UK or Rhode Island, USA, where the association's administrative office is located.

The closing date for applications is Oct. 8.
