Swab tests for Costa passengers, RINA approves biosafety measures

Costa will perform the COVID-19 antigenic tests for embarking guests on Deliziosa and Diadema, which resume sailings next month, and any of its ships that may recommence operations in the future. 

Passengers will be offered insurance with specific services owing to COVID-19.

Biosafety

Biosafety certification from RINA results from Costa’s staff training on health and safety measures during embarkation and shore excursions, introduced as part of the Costa Safety Protocol developed by a team of independent experts. 

The certification process, carried out via audits, examines all aspects of life on board and ashore, including embarkation procedures, hotel services, catering, fitness, relaxation areas and shore excursions, and assesses compliance with preventing and controlling infections.
