Celebrity’s 'Signature Event Sailings' will include specially designed shore excursions that place participants in the middle of the action or a VIP vantage point. Other elements include on-board shows, speakers and activities inspired by the event.

On the 100th Anniversary Commemoration of Anzac Day in Turkey, history buffs on a 12-night Turkey and Greece cruise departing on April 22, 2015, can step back in time with a visit to the battlefields of Gallipoli. On Celebrity Constellation, cruisers can learn about World War I and II from historian and author Peter Donovan. Plus, there will be a special viewing of the 100th Anniversary of Anzac Day service televised from the beaches of Gallipoli as well as a commemorative shipboard ceremony.

The Cannes Film Festival will be highlighted on a 10-night Mediterranean cruise, departing May 11, 2015, from Barcelona. Celebrity Equinox will visit Cannes during its hot-ticket event of the summer—the Film Festival. Celebrity's activities will include a VIP rooftop celebration ashore with live French music, cocktails and a view of the picturesque harbor. On board, passengers can view past Cannes Film Festival winners and attend presentations by a film historian.

The Redentore Festival in Venice will be part of a 14-night Turkey and Black Sea cruise, departing July 5, 2015, from Istanbul. The festive Venetian celebration dates back to 1577. Aboard Celebrity Constellation, passengers can watch fireworks illuminate decorated boats gathered in St. Mark’s basin, and attend a themed poolside and interactive event inspired by a Venetian masquerade ball.

The British Open in Edinburgh will be accessible via a 12-night British Isles cruise sailing July 15, 2015, from Amsterdam. The Celebrity Silhouette voyage coincides with the championship’s 144th year, and experiences will include shipboard events hosted by a golf pro, entry to the historic championship in St. Andrews, teeing up for a round of golf on courses in three locations during the sailing and the rare opportunity to walk the Old Course.

At Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, passengers aboard Celebrity Infinity’s special 14-night South America and Rio Carnival cruise, departing Jan. 31, 2016, from Buenos Aires, will get access to Rio's Sambadrome for the Samba Parade in grandstand or VIP seating. The party continues on board as professional dancers take the stage and invite vacationers to learn the samba then show off their skills under the stars at a Latin-themed celebration.

Passengers on Celebrity Millennium's Jan. 31, 2016 cruise, will be able to celebrate Chinese New Year in Hong Kong. The Year of the Monkey will be heralded by events on ship and shore.
