Costa Serena - themed as the ‘Ship of Gods,’ with interiors inspired by mythology and ancient Rome - is homeporting in Shanghai starting April 2015.

Guests will enjoy the celebration with music, lights, and champagne in a lavish and visionary setting created especially for the occasion.  Following the event, Costa Cruises will host road-shows to introduce Costa Serena in Shanghai and neighboring cities for the coming weeks.

Buhdy Bok, svp Pacific Asia & China, Costa Cruises, stated: ‘Bringing our most innovative product to China remains our strategy to be the leader in the fast-growing China market.  After eight years of successful operation in China, Costa Cruises will continue to thrive and expand its offerings and services in the region.’

As the brand ambassador, Chinese actress Gao Yuanyuan has been named Costa Serena’s godmother for the vessels debut in China.
