Royal Caribbean cover story

When legendary leaders pass the baton to a new generation, things don't always go as expected. In the case of Royal Caribbean Group's transition from Richard Fain to Jason Liberty as CEO, the company didn't miss a beat.

‘Jason has been shaping our culture for over a decade and in his first year as CEO that drive for innovation, collaboration and delivering the best vacations in a responsible way continues,’ said Laura Hodges Bethge, EVP shared services.

Seatrade Cruise Review also features 'New leaders,' with a question posed to half a dozen new brand leaders: Barbara Muckermann, president/CEO, Silversea Cruises; Frank A. Del Rio, president, Oceania Cruises; Andrea DeMarco, president, Regent Seven Seas Cruises; James Rodriguez, president/CEO, Atlas Ocean Voyages; Cindy D'Aoust, president, American Queen Voyages; and Ken Muskat, managing director, Scenic Group USA.

Seatrade Cruise's Holly Payne looks at what's around the corner for food and beverage, timely as the new F&B@Sea takes place March 28-29 at Port Everglades Terminal 2, across the street from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center.

European river cruise, Anglo-Eastern, fate of the Genting HK fleet

Other features hone in on European river cruise trends, a special report by Frederik Erdmann; what's ahead for one of the world’s largest ship management companies, Anglo-Eastern, acquiring Cruise Management International and CMI Leisure; and what happened to all the ships that were in the Genting Hong Kong cruise fleet.

Sustainability

Further reports include an update on fuel cell technology, decarbonization efforts and LNG bunkering.

Shipbuilding, orderbook analysis, market updates
