Prominent European cruise line executives to address Seatrade Europe

A strong line up of Europe’s top cruise line executives will kick start Seatrade Europe Cruise & River Cruise Convention, taking place in Hamburg from September 9-11.

On the morning of September 9, Pierfrancesco Vago chairman, CLIA Europe & executive chairman, MSC Cruises, will present a keynote speech ahead of ‘The State of the Industry in Europe’ panel session featuring David Dingle chairman, Carnival UK, and vice chairman CLIA Europe; Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio chairman, Silversea Cruises; Wybcke Meier ceo, TUI Cruises; Gianni Onorato ceo, MSC Cruises; Dominic Paul, svp international, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises & Azamara Club Cruises, and managing director, RCL Cruises Ltd.; and Michael Thamm, ceo, Costa Crociere.

The panel will discuss cruise demand in Europe and how it is impacted by cruise lines’ deployment strategies, new ship deliveries and the European economic picture. The European regulatory landscape and what it means for the growth of inbound cruise tourism and market penetration rates in Europe and the diversification of the product, will also be aired, as well as infrastructure development and the engagement with the ports.

In the afternoon of September 9, the panel discussions turn to 'Europe’s River Cruise Industry and Design for the Future.' Speaker lineups for these sessions will be announced soon.
