Seatrade announces speakers for Cruise Asia in Korea

Carnival Corp’s Alan Buckelew, Celebrity Cruises’ Kelvin Tan, Costa Cruises’ Helen Huang, Genting Hong Kong’s Michael Hackman, Ponant’s Mick Fogg, P&O Cruises Australia's Sture Myrmell, Princess Cruises’ Anthony Kaufman, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd's and CLIA North Asia chair Zinan Liu, Royal Caribbean’s John Tercek, Star Cruises’ Michael Goh and Silversea’s Darius Mehta are amongst key cruise line speakers for Seatrade Cruise Asia. The event will take place at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Centre in Korea from June 11-12.

Other speakers confirmed so far include Ted Blamey principal, CHART Management Consultants; Ki-Tack Lim, president, Busan Port Authority; Eero Mäkinen, managing owner, Emamnoa, and Stephen Payne, principal consultant, PFJ Maritime Marine.

As well as discussing the future of the cruise industry in Asia and its potential as a source market, the experts will delve into the geography of the region, including which ports will be the most attractive to the cruise lines as they seek fresh itineraries.

In addition, the panelists will discuss the scale and opportunity for Asian shipyards and port infrastructure and investment.

Complementing the conference sessions, the exhibition will feature destinations, tourism authorities, cruise associations, tour operators, port agents and suppliers showcasing their products and services to cruise industry professionals.

The event will also offer a travel agent training programme and a full social programme for delegates.

Seatrade Cruise Asia is hosted by Busan Port Authority, Busan Metropolitan City, Korea Tourism Organization and Korea Marine Leisure Network.
