In a written communication issued Tuesday evening Andrew Williams, general manager Seatrade, informed that ‘due to increasing notifications from key stakeholders (delegates, speakers and cruise lines) of their withdrawal from the event due to the current MERs-related circumstances in Korea and regional travel restrictions being imposed by other Asian countries, the planned conference programme can no longer be delivered in its published form and we are therefore advising that the event will need to be postponed to a later date.’

Williams commented, ‘This decision has not been an easy one and we have looked into every possibility, however in consultation with the industry, we feel that this is the most appropriate course of action.’
