Seatrade names JAG Hospitality Director Jason Gelineau its Guest Experience Ambassador

Jason Gelineau, director of JAG Hospitality, was awarded the position of Guest Experience Ambassador for Seatrade Cruise, tasked with ensuring the guest experience remains a central theme at Seatrade Cruise events.

The role will touch on hotel operations, entertainment, retail, wellness, food and beverage, design and IT, which each play a role in influencing the guest experience. 

30 years in cruise 

‘I’m incredibly honoured and excited to be appointed as a Seatrade Cruise Ambassador,’ remarked the director. ‘Celebrating my 30th anniversary in the cruise industry, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to connect with esteemed colleagues across the cruise industry and dive into key discussions on onboard guest experience.’ 

He added, ‘Exploring guest needs, emerging trends, and the realities shaping the future of our industry is a passion of mine, and I’m thrilled to contribute to these important conversations. 

‘Understanding what drives guest satisfaction is essential for growth and innovation in our dynamic industry.’

Ambassador Programme

Commenting on Gelineau’s appointment to the Ambassador Programme, Chiara Giorgi, global brand & event director, Seatrade Cruise Events, said, ‘Guest Experience plays a pivotal role in driving innovation within the cruise industry and we are thrilled to collaborate with Jason Gelineau to ensure its significance is thoughtfully reflected at all our events.’

JAG Hospitality

Australia-based JAG Hospitality serves as a brand ambassador and operational expert for multiple global cruise industry suppliers. Prior to establishing the company, Gelineau amassed extensive experience in various global locations, including Geneva, Switzerland; Miami, Florida; Whistler, British Columbia; the Great Barrier Reef, Australia; and the Bahamas. 

Notably, he spent 24 years at sea with lines such as Princess, Coral Expeditions, Silversea, Oceania, and Seabourn. He gained additional insights while onboard private residential cruise ship, The World. 

In 2019, Gelineau assumed the role of brand performance manager at MSC Cruises and was based in the USA. 

Gelineau went on to hold the position of head of product/SVP, hotel operations, Explora Journeys where his responsibilities included developing the onboard guest experience.
