15-day Great Lakes, new North and South America Viking 2023 expeditions

Viking's 2023 expedition voyages includes a new two-week Great Lakes itinerary and additional North and South America programs.

Debuting in June 2023, the 15-day 'Great Lakes Collection' cruise will sail between Toronto and Duluth, providing a complete view of the region with port calls along all five Great Lakes. Travelers will experience Niagara Falls, sail amid the granite islands and sheltered inlets of Georgian Bay, traverse the Soo Locks and venture into the boreal forests lining the shores of Lake Superior and Lake Michigan,

Four Great Lakes expeditions will be reprised in 2023: the eight-day 'Niagara & the Great Lakes,' 'Great Lakes Explorer' and 'Undiscovered Great Lakes' and the 13-day 'Canadian Discovery.'

Three additional expedition voyages in North and South America will also debut.

Canada and Atlantic coast

The new, 16-day 'Canada & the Atlantic Coastline' itinerary will expand offerings along the St. Lawrence River and Atlantic coast, featuring destinations including Québec City, Trois-Rivières, Louisbourg, Lunenburg, New York City, Norfolk and Charleston. The trip sails between Toronto and Fort Lauderdale.

Patagonia

Travelers can discover the natural beauty of Patagonia while sailing from Santiago, Chile, to Ushuaia, Argentina, on the new 14-day 'Patagonian Shores & Chilean Fjords' itinerary. Travelers can admire soaring peaks and towering ice shelves while navigating the Chilean Fjords. Stops include the charming towns of Tortel and Castro.

Panama and South America

Destinations in North, Central and South America are bundled into the 18-day 'Panama & Scenic South America.' On this journey between Santiago and Fort Lauderdale, travelers will discover the ancient civilizations of the Yucatán Peninsula and transit the Panama Canal. They'll visit Lima, Peru, and Chile's Iquique, nested between the Atacama Desert and the Pacific.

Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris will each carry 378 travelers. The ships will feature public spaces that are familiar to Viking’s ocean travelers and new areas like The Science Lab, the panoramic auditorium The Aula and The Hangar, an enclosed, in-ship marina for launching small excursion craft along a slipway.
