Aurora Expeditions cancels three Russian Far East cruises

Australia’s Aurora Expeditions cancelled three Russian Far East voyages on the new Sylvia Earle and is reviewing other itineraries with Russia content.

The cancelled trips are ‘Kamchatka & Chukotka’ from Tokyo to Anchorage on July 6, ‘Wrangel Island’ from Anchorage on July 19 and ‘Kuril Islands’ from Tokyo to Sapporo on August 29.

For other sailings with Russia content, ‘The team at Aurora is now reviewing our deployment in the region and will advise our travel agent partners and guests of those changes in the near future,’ the company said in a statement.

‘Any booked guests and trade partners of affected sailings will receive updates and specific details applicable to their bookings which will be available shortly.’
