AE Expeditions, part of Australia’s Aurora Expeditions headquartered in Sydney, invited travel agents and media to inspect Greg Mortimer in Aberdeen and Troon during a recent ‘Wild Scotland’ voyage.

‘It was fantastic to bring our partners onboard Greg Mortimer to experience the ship while she was in Scotland,’ EMEA Sales Director Andrew Turner said.

‘Expedition voyages are not just about what you see, but how you see it,’ Turner said.

Genuine passion

‘Our small ship expeditions allow passengers to immerse themselves in spectacular destinations, thrilling activities and experience the genuine passion and care our team has for the incredible and remote parts of the world that we travel to,’ he said.

The 132-passenger Greg Mortimer will continue the Arctic summer season before going to Antarctica for the 2024-25 Antarctic season.

She will make a Costa Rica and Panama Canal voyage in April next year, before returning to Scotland in May.

Third ship

Aurora Expeditions, which operates Greg Mortimer and Sylvia Earle, will take delivery of its third purpose-built expedition ship, Douglas Mawson, in December 2025.
