September 21, 2022
The 11- to 19-day itineraries will operate from June to September, departing from Dover or Reykjavik and visiting Greenland, Svalbard, the British Isles, the Faroe Islands and Iceland.
Five Arctic ships
This makes five Hurtigruten ships exploring the Arctic next summer.
'From engaging encounters with the local communities to the vast wilderness and rich wildlife, our small-ship expedition cruises unlock one-of-a-kind experiences in some of the most unique areas of our planet. While exploring, our guests and crew not only create local value, but contribute to science projects that are vital to understanding and preserving the areas for future generations of explorers,' Hurtigruten Expeditions CEO Asta Lassesen said.
Maud's 17-day 'True Arctic Expedition' is offered in two departures round-trip Reykjavik
Maud's new itineraries include two 'True Arctic Expeditions' combining Iceland, the wild east coast of Greenland, Svalbard archipelago and the rarely visited Arctic volcanic island of Jan Mayen. These 17-day cruises operate round-trip Reykjavik.
A 20-day 'Greenland Summer Explorer' trip has a flexible itinerary to explore icebergs, fjords, wildlife and communities along Greenland’s spectacular west coast, including north of Disko Bay.
Two 'Iceland Circumnavigation' expeditions take passengers on an 11-day deep dive from Reykjavik to some of Iceland’s most incredible sights and cross the Arctic Circle.
Season bookended by Dover
A pair of 12-day 'Island Hopping in the North Atlantic' treks explore Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands and British Isles. The first and last adventures of Maud’s 2023 summer season, they depart or conclude at Dover.
The expedition cruises can also be extended with land adventures of two to four days in Iceland.
