Lindblad completes Wineland-Thomson Adventures acquisition

Lindblad Expeditions Holdings completed its acquisition of WTA Holding Corp., which includes Wineland-Thomson Adventures.

The price was $24m and $6m in Lindblad common stock, representing 682,593 shares.  The shares were issued in a private placement exempt from registration under the US Securities Act.

WTA consists of adventure travel brands including Tanzania safari specialists Thomson Safaris, with more than 40 years of experience; the historic Gibb’s Farm lodge, an 80-acre sanctuary located near the Ngorongoro Crater; and Kilimanjaro treks leader Nature Discovery. Lindblad has the option to acquire Tanzania Conservation Ltd.

The acquisition was announced in April.
