Lindblad outlines Expedition 360 full-service trade program

'We are building a platform that will help enable and empower our dedicated travel advisors,' John Delaney said
Lindblad Expeditions is rolling out the company's most comprehensive, full-service trade initiative in its 50-year history.

'Expedition 360' encompasses four key pillars: training, service, technology and appreciation, all with the goal of significantly enhancing support for travel advisor partners.

'Expedition cruising has never been as popular and in demand as it is today. Travel advisors are our most influential partners and our brand ambassadors to guests that are looking for active exploration and wonder in secluded places far beyond the major cruise ship docks,' said John Delaney, SVP sales and revenue management.

'With Expedition 360, we are building a platform that will help enable and empower our dedicated travel advisors, extending the knowledge and know-how to help them earn the confidence of their customers and sell the premier, inclusive expedition experience.'

New webinars, cross-country road show, awards and incentives

Over the next several months, Lindblad Expeditions will continue to debut new features of the program, including a new webinar series, the brand’s first cross-country road show and new travel advisor awards and incentives.

The training pillar will build on the existing Expedition 360° training, adding new modules, a cross-country, multi-city road show kicking off later this year and a new monthly webinar series featuring expedition speakers and special benefits.

Exemplary service promised

Service includes a growing sales team, including the recent hiring of cruise industry veterans Christine Stevens Robinson and Rachel Woodward, dedicated to delivering on the promise of exemplary service. Lindblad will also open a dedicated reservations line for travel advisors, a self-service, 24/7 online support portal and other support features.

Technology enhancements include the move later this year to the Versonix Seaware platform, enabling travel advisors to seamlessly book the full expedition experience, including pre- and post-cruise programs, and more with the benefit of 24/7 reservation management. The company will also be launching a series of customizable guides through an interactive website to make it easier for advisors to share and sell an expedition.

A new appreciation program will recognize the important contributions of travel advisors to Lindblad's success. Components include new advisor travel rates, special exclusive events hosted onboard and other elements.
